Convert XLSX to CSV in your browser
Upload an XLSX workbook, choose a worksheet and check its data before converting. Each export creates one CSV from the selected worksheet; other sheets are not combined.
UTF-8, optional BOM and three delimiters are supported: comma, semicolon and tab. Quotes and multiline values are escaped according to CSV rules.
Processing runs on your device. Formulas and macros are not executed and external resources are not loaded. Only cached formula results are used, with a warning for missing values.
Frequently asked questions
Can I convert Excel to CSV without Excel?
Yes. The tool reads XLSX directly in your browser; Excel does not need to be installed.
Is formatting preserved?
CSV contains values from one worksheet. Styling, charts and cell types are not retained. Supported dates are converted to ISO format; unsupported number formats produce a warning.
What happens to formulas?
Formulas are not calculated. A cached result is used when available; otherwise the cell is empty and a warning is shown. Cached results may be outdated.
Are long numbers and leading zeros preserved?
Text values and simple zero-padding formats are supported. Precision already lost by storing a value as a number in Excel cannot be recovered. Import identifiers as text when opening CSV.
